Speaker: Mr. Andara Ali Mbishida
Text: Psalm 84:11, Psalm 24:3-5
Topic: Benefits of Living in Holiness

Introduction
A benefit is an advantage or gain, something received beyond entitlement, often due to actions or involvement in something meaningful. Holiness, similarly, brings rewards beyond obligation; it invites blessings directly connected to our relationship with God. Psalm 24:3-5 emphasizes that those who approach God in holiness will receive His blessings and favor. Likewise, Psalm 84:11 assures us that God gives grace and glory to those who walk uprightly, withholding no good thing from them.

Holiness is more than an outward practice; it’s a lifestyle that invites divine benefits, as highlighted in the Scriptures:

1. Close Relationship with God: James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” Living in holiness fosters intimacy with God, deepening our relationship with Him and aligning our hearts with His will.

2. Access to Divine Insight: Those who live in holiness receive divine insights, as God reveals His plans to them. Psalm 25:14 says, "The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him," and Jesus calls His followers friends, revealing His Father’s plans to them (John 15:14-15).

3. Divine Protection: When we live in holiness, we become shielded by God’s protection. Job 1:8-10 illustrates how Job’s upright life prompted God’s protection, creating a hedge around him and his possessions.

4. Answered Prayers: Holiness strengthens our prayers. James 5:16 states, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective,” and Genesis 18:24-32 shows how Abraham’s righteous life enabled him to intercede for Sodom.

5. Increased Peace and Joy: Holiness brings inner peace and joy. Psalm 119:165 declares, "Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble." A life lived in alignment with God’s standards brings contentment and steadfast peace.

Conclusion
Holiness isn’t about rigid rules; it’s about drawing nearer to God and allowing Him to fill our lives with peace, joy, and purpose. Living in holiness opens the door to blessings and divine favor, and those who pursue it will be lifted up by God. May the Lord grant us the grace to walk in holiness, experiencing His presence and the many rewards He promises. Amen.
