Topic: Fearlessness in the Holy Harvest

Harvesting is the act of reaping what has been sown, a term commonly associated with farming but applicable to every area where effort is invested with the hope of a return. Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 9:35-38 likens the harvest to winning souls, emphasizing that our ultimate purpose as Christians is to bring people to God.

Jesus exemplified this mission throughout His ministry. In John 4:7-18, He seized an ordinary encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well to share the message of salvation. Like Jesus, we are called to make the most of every opportunity to witness, yet fear often holds us back. We may worry about others’ opinions, be unsure of what to say, or feel hesitant about approaching someone. However, it’s important to remember that our role is simply to share the message, while conviction is the Lord’s work. Fear of rejection or reputation should not stop us, for our time on earth is temporary, and we are ultimately accountable to God.

Evangelizing to others is part of our purpose on earth, a duty that gives meaning to our salvation. When we fail to reach out to others, we fall short of God’s expectations. True communion with the Lord inspires us to share His love with others. As Philippians 2:12 reminds us, “work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” The call is clear: let us boldly and faithfully labor in God’s holy harvest while we have the chance.
