Topic: The Dangers of Living an Unholy Life
In a world full of deception and wrongdoing, it's easy to lose sight of the truth. Every day, we are surrounded by those who appear good on the outside but harbor darkness within. Jesus spoke about this in the parable of the wheat and the tares, found in Matthew 13:24-30. Just as weeds grow among the wheat, so too do unrighteous people live alongside the righteous. But take heart—God sees it all, and a day of separation is coming.
One of the greatest challenges today is the prevalence of fake people—individuals who put on a facade of righteousness while living in sin. Younger men are caught up in internet scams, known as "yahoo-yahoo," and some have taken it even further by mixing these scams with rituals, commonly referred to as "yahoo plus." Others indulge in gambling, witchcraft, and other hidden sins. Though their deeds may be secret, they are fully known to God.
Yet, in His mercy, God allows both the good and the bad to flourish together. Why? Because He is giving the unrighteous time to repent. He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but for all to come to repentance. However, this period of grace will not last forever. A time is coming when the true nature of each person will be revealed, and those who have chosen to live unholy lives will face the consequences.
The message is clear: now is the time to turn from sin and embrace a life of holiness. God is giving us an opportunity to repent, to leave behind our unrighteous ways, and to live for His glory. We must not take this chance for granted. The weeds may grow alongside the wheat for now, but the harvest is coming. When it does, will you be found among the wheat, or will you be cast out as a weed?
Choose today whom you will serve. Let us live lives that honor God, rejecting the temptations of this world and pursuing righteousness. The dangers of living an unholy life are real, but so is the opportunity for redemption. Embrace it now, before it’s too late.
